Research Update: September 2026

Four working papers enter SSRN submission, hosted papers are replaced with corrected revisions, and the site is reorganised around the papers.

Working papers

Four working papers are being submitted to SSRN this month, which brings the series to twenty-three working papers alongside six on SSRN. All four concern short-dated index options: the source of the option premium at zero maturity, the cost of closing a defined-risk spread before expiry, position sizing close to a drawdown limit, and a replication in which strike selection alone reproduces a commercially advertised win rate. Each will be posted on the papers page once its SSRN entry is live.

Corrections

The nineteen papers already hosted here were replaced with revisions dated 12 September. The revision pass removed claims the underlying records could not support and shortened or reworded every abstract. Earlier copies should not be cited.

Corporate events

Completion rates for deals still pending past their typical duration were re-measured on text-confirmed outcomes rather than delisting records. The delisting-based measure had understated completion, although overdue deals still break more often than deals within their expected duration.

Register

The register holds 264 entries, of which 104 are settled null, 35 are limited by measurement and 42 are accruing forward observations. The homepage and notes index now carry only current research; retired product pages and the earlier essays on automated wealth management redirect elsewhere on the site.

The papers index lists every paper with its record.
